Andrew Scherer, VP Capital Markets, is an accomplished financial and market analyst who has earned his reputation by aptly building the financial models and leading the capital raise for early stage technology companies. With Denuo, he lends his particular expertise in equity investing and conducting due diligence to assess the economic viability in and across market sectors.
Mr. Scherer was the catalyst behind the development of the Venture Evaluator, a proprietary algorithm weighted screening tool used to fully evaluate early stage and emerging growth technology companies. Since 2004, Mr. Scherer has been a Partner with iplabs, a Washington D.C. based consulting firm at the forefront in developing and deploying emerging enterprise based IT technologies for companies such as IBM, Verizon, Verizon Wireless, TerreStar. Additionally he has been integral in working on portions of large government contracts such as NMCIand Networx.
In his tenure, Mr. Scherer has been key in raising and closing strategic funding for Milestone Equity Partners, Plaxo, Digital Cinema Solutions (DCS), dbXML, Limelight Networks, and visitalk.com, where his team raised $45M in private financing and closed a $100M investment banking engagement with Goldman Sachs.
